Onion Sets Bolt Resistant Collection
This fantastic Bolt Resistant Onion Collection has been specifically heat-treated for 20 weeks to minimise bolting. Heat preparation will also extend the growth period of the onions so that much greater yields can be achieved.
Our Bolt Resistant Collection includes:
- Rumba – A top performing main crop variety that’s ideally suited to growing in the UK. It produces high yields of large, uniform, round onions with a sweet flavour, making it ideal for eating raw in salads as well as cooking. Good thick skin and quality flesh makes this a good variety for long-term storing.
- Karmen – Red onion ‘Karmen’ is renowned for the exceptionally sweet flavour of its crisp white flesh, delicious eaten raw in salads or cooked. Each layer of the onion is edged in light crimson, so it looks as good as it tastes! This popular red onion stores well and is a valuable addition to any kitchen garden.
- Corrado – Vigorous, high yielding and disease resistant, Onion ‘Corrado’ produces a plentiful crop of golden yellow bulbs with excellent flavour. The bulbs are firm with strong skins, and will store well.
