Lobelia Seeds ‘Fountain Lilac’
- Masses of beautiful lilac flowers
- Trailing lobelia
- Flowers from late spring to early autumn
- Perfect for containers and hanging baskets
Smothered in stunning lilac flowers, trailing Lobelia ‘Fountain Lilac’ looks stunning from late spring right through to autumn. The fabulously intense pink colour adds a unique touch to containers and hanging baskets.
Sow indoors
Almost fill a seed tray with moist seed compost. Sow seeds thinly over the surface, and do not cover them. Place in the warmth, 15-20°C and keep moist.
Grow on
Keep seedlings in a light position, but shade from direct sunlight. When large enough to handle, transplant 5cm apart into trays of potting compost. It is easier to transplant small clumps of Lobelia seedlings than to try and transplant single seedlings.
Plant out
Gradually accustom plants to outside conditions for 2-3 weeks before planting out when the danger of frost has passed.
Tips
When planting into the final growing position, do not separate the clumps of seedlings. Lobelia looks best planted en masse.
