Paeonia Lactiflora Sarah Bernhardt or Peony Sarah Bernhardt is a charming rose-pink peony which does well in full sun or partially-shady positions. Boasts large, double-flowered frilled blooms measuring up to 20cm in diameter, with a clump-forming tendency. Prefers moist, well-drained soil. Its medium height is around a 3ft tall and it’s fully hardy once established.
This variety of peony is perfect for cutting and it would make a beautiful addition to any flower arrangement with its scent. It’s very dependent as a variety and will thrive in most gardens thanks to its hardiness.
The plant has a dense, bushy habit and glossy, dark green leaves which gives a whimsical cottage garden feel.
