A colourful, cut and come again mix of red and green loose-leaf lettuces. Easy to grow and bolt-resistant, they’re ideal for growing in containers and window boxes as well as vegetable beds.
Sow indoors
Sow thinly 1cm deep in clean trays or modules of firm, pre-watered compost. Place in warmth, 10-15°C and keep moist at all times.
Plant out
After the risk of frost has passed, plant into the required harvest position 25cm apart with 30cm between each row when plants have 3-4 true leaves.
Sow outdoors
Sow thinly 1cm deep in direct harvest location. Keep soil moist at all times. Thin to 25cm apart.
Tips
Keep well watered. Small sowings made every 3 weeks will ensure a continuous supply. Use netting to help prevent damage from birds and insects.
