- Hardneck variety
- Plant: September to January
- Harvest: May to July
Garlic ‘Rose Wight’ is a beautiful, hardneck variety with a pink striped outer skin and white rounded cloves. This variety is of exceptional quality, and consistently produces a high yield of large sized bulbs with an early harvest. ‘Rose Wight’ is easy to grow and has intense flavour, making it a perfect addition to many of your favourite recipes.
This garlic variety is happiest when planted in full sun. Plant out between September and January; place the cloves 3 – 4cm below the surface, root down (pointy end up) and 6 inches apart from one another.
For best results, water your garlic during any dry periods, but stop watering completely during the last few weeks. The garlic will be ready to harvest between May and July, once the the lower leaves start to fold and turn yellow.
