What are misted tip strawberries?
Misted Tip strawberries have become very popular for late summer planting. The plants are produced by taking early, un-rooted runners from specially selected mother plants and rooting them in a mist propagation unit. The result is strong, healthy, disease-resistant plants ready for planting in late summer.
Get them in the ground by the end of August and they’ll establish quickly, developing good root networks over autumn and winter and growing into strong, healthy plants, with plenty of flowering stems in spring for earlier, heavier first-year crops than traditional spring-planted runners.
This innovative process in strawberry production is increasingly being used by commercial growers to give bigger and better first-year harvests, and now you can enjoy the same benefits!
